The City of Georgetown is holding a Storm Water Advisory Committee meeting on Monday, June 14, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. at City Hall on 100 N. Court Street. RE: Pavilion Drive
Construction and Road Closure
Starting May 1, 2010, the
City of Georgetown will be reconstructing Pavilion Drive from
Champion
Way to Furlong Ct. The project is needed to
repair the failing subgrade and pavement in this vicinity. “Local patrons of
The Pavilion and nearby residents are all too familiar with the ‘washboard’
affect the pavement has when driving over it. This project will dig up the
existing roadbed and replace it with thicker stone and asphalt layers,”
according to City Engineer Eric W. Larson.
Pavilion Drive will be
closed to through traffic during the construction project. Local traffic access
to Winners
Circle, Furlong Ct., and The Pavilion will be
provided.
The
Pavilion will be open regular hours during construction.
However, the Main Entrance to The
Pavilion will be closed. A Detour will direct traffic to the Back
Entrance. The Detour will be via THIS WAY HOME DRIVE, turning right onto
PAVILION
DRIVE. The Back Entrance to The Pavilion is on the left, across from
Furlong
Ct.
Construction will be completed about June 30,
2010.
