There are a number of boards and committees that work with the city government to maintain and improve the quality of life in Georgetown. These boards and committees play an essential role. Some of the boards and committees are solely advisory to the City Council while others have decision-making authority. Most of the boards are appointed by the Mayor and approved by the City Council. Boards and committees that are over joint agencies with the County will also contain members that are appointed by the County Judge. |
