We are now @ 70% complete distributing herbie containers to all residents in the City of Georgetown. Currently we are finishing up with the Mt. Vernon and Payne’s Crossing areas with plans to proceed to Aberdine, the Villages of Elkhorn Green and Meadows; finishing in the Bradford and Hambrick areas. We should have everyone containers delivered by the first of the year. We will have smaller (65 gallons) containers in three weeks for those residents that have requested them. The City of Georgetown web page www.georgetownky.gov is being updated to include information that should be very helpful regarding the Solid Waste Ordinance, i.e. - Times of day that your container should be put out for pick-up
- Allowable weight that can be put in your container
- Purchasing extra containers if needed
- Items not accepted
- Procedure to get brushes and branches picked up
- Etc. and much more.
