City Engineer

The City Engineer's Office provides engineering services to support the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and oversight of the development of public infrastructure and facilities. The office also provides services relating to environmental regulations and activities, traffic analysis, permitting and general support of city staff.

Primary Responsibilities


  • Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System Phase II Permit (MS4)
  • Capital Improvement Program (CIP)
  • Public Works stormwater and street projects
  • Pavement management system
  • Street signs, markings and lighting
  • Encroachment permits

Please contact us if you need:

  • An encroachment permit for any work to be performed within the Public Right-of-Way which can include: sidewalks, driveway aprons and utility work.
  • A plat signed for street lights.  Please note that we work directly with utilities to develop the layout and we cannot sign your plat until we receive a check for the number of street lights.
  • Any information regarding streets, stormwater or other infrastructure related activities.
